Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Preference is given to those who have taken an Art based subject at Level 1. If you have not done so, you will have to convince us that this is the right course for you! If you have not taken ART101, you will need to apply for an exemption.



Photography Level 2

This course encourages you to express yourself through ideas and images. You will be introduced to a range of digital processes. As the course progresses you will choose which processes and techniques are best suited to your needs and interests.

Course Overview

Term 1
Start work on two internal Achievement Standards
Photography 2.2 - Use drawing methods to apply knowledge of conventions appropriate to photography

Photography 2.3- Develop ideas in a related series of drawing appropriate to established photography practice.

Term 2
Complete work on 2.2 and 2.3 by week 5

Start work on the external

2.4 -Produce a systematic body of work that shows understanding of art making conventions and ideas within photography.

Term 3
Working on the external

Complete external

					Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
										

Students will need to cover all their costs for printing their coursework and external boards. This is not done via the accounts office, but paid by the student when printing is needed. (You can expect the costs for the course to be around $60-80).
One or two Art College/gallery visits (estimated cost $20 each)
