Course Description

Mechanical Engineering 301

A workshop course with the emphasis on practical skills leading to greater knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Engineering systems and implementations. Credits are obtained by a combination of theory and practical based assessment provided through Tools4Work, as well as NCEA achievement standards. 

Not all standards will be assessed for every student. A selection will be chosen to suit chosen projects. Likely credits will be around 17-21 in total for the year. 



Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

$65 for take home projects


Recommended Prior Learning

Successful completion of at least 6 of the Achievement Standard credits at Level 2 Mechanical Engineering or by approval of the HOD.
