Media Matters 201

This course provides an alternative for those students not wishing to take English 201. It covers a variety of English and Media Studies skills and texts. The course creates a pathway for those students who may not wish to take English on to Level 3 or who wish to progress to Media Matters at Level Three. Students are expected to enter for the film external and complete the English requirements for UE Literacy. There is the opportunity to begin Media Studies standards at Level Two.

AS 91251 An Aspect of Media Genre 
AS 91253 Develop a Media Product

Recommended Prior Learning

A pass in at least one English external standard at Level One together with internal standards: personal reading and formal/creative writing.
