Literacy and Communication English (ENG103)Level 1

ENG103
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs Hurley

English 103

This course creates a pathway for students who may not wish to take English to Level 2 but who need literacy for Levels One and Two. The literacy portfolios are built up over the year (or over 2 years) and students who reach the standard are then awarded a “bundle” of ten literacy credits. These credits may not be used in conjunction with literacy credits gained in other subjects. For students that do not wish to take the functional literacy unit standards an achievement standard pathway to literacy is offered. Students will also have the opportunity to gain additional English and Communication Skills credits.
