Accounting enables students to understand the processes involved in recording, classifying, analysing and interpreting financial information. This programme builds on prior knowledge gained at Level 1 accounting (where the student would have learnt about sole proprietors and community organisations) and Level 2 accounting where the student would have learnt about different accounting entities and accounting subsystems. The course focuses on partnership, companies and how management accounting is used to inform decision making. 

This course offers 5 standards worth a total of 21 credits. There are 3  internal assessments and 2 external assessments offered.

  1. Accounting concepts for a Company

  2. Accounting for Partnerships

  3. Analysing a public Company

  4. Management Accounting

  5. Understanding of a job cost subsystem for an entity

  6. Financial statements of a Company
