Mathematics Level 1
This is a course for motivated people who like Mathematics and problem solving and who want to achieve at high levels. You’ll learn mathematics in a different way - making big links between Patterns, Graphs, Equations and Algebra.
We will start each situation in an interesting real-world situation and then make powerful generalisations to abstract ideas. Working both individually and in teams, you will be practising and learning problem solving strategies that will help in a number of different subjects.
Optional Standards:
AS 91027 Algebra
Recommended Prior Learning
You will already be working at Curriculum Level 5A or above in your Year 10 Mathematics course.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Workbooks may be needed for some Standards. The cost for these is approx. $6 each.
A tablet or similar device is highly recommended for this course.
