This course works through the vehicle of the design process. Students will work on a formative design brief in the first term, developing skills in freehand sketching, isometric drawing, orthographic drawing and the use of a computer aided design program: On-shape. This is a cloud based program which can be easily access from home.
An investigation into a design Era will help to influence ideas for the project.
Students will modify and add to their tiny home design from level 1 and re-design the bathroom.
The final term should be tidying up the required drawings for a portfolio which is externally assessed standards.
If a student has not completed level 1 then they will use a design era as influence there tiny home design.

$10, Set square, paper and rendering equipment.
Recommended Prior Learning
At least 12 credits from Level 1 Graphics, or approval from the HOD.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Total Credits Available: 20 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 13 credits.
Further assessment opportunities will not be offered for this standard inline with NZQA guidelines
