Fabric and Design 201

This course is rich in ‘hands on’ practical work that is planned and supported by theory, investigation and design work. It may include advanced adaptations to a pattern, construction of textile items using advanced procedures, brief development, planning and development of a prototype. Choices for items created in this course are largely student driven, encourage creative thinking and creation of quality products. It also allows for extension of gifted learners. 

Because this course can be co-constructed to meet the needs of individual learners, the number of credits offered may vary between students.

Recommended Prior Learning

Year 10 and Level 1 Technology Fabric and Design preferred but not compulsory. Students who are new to the subject, but are creative and interested, will be accepted on an individual basis.
