Fabric and Design 101
Technology: Fabric and Design is a course rich in ‘hands on’ practical work that is planned and supported by theory and design work. This course may include making basic pattern adaptations, construction of products from textile materials using basic procedures, brief development, planning, development and construction of a prototype (usually a garment but not restricted to that). It also offers an external assessment opportunity, making it eligible for course endorsement. Items created in this course are largely initiated through student design.
Because this course can be constructed to meet the needs of individual learners, the number of credits offered may vary between individuals. A realistic number of credits for this course is between 16 - 20.

Course fee $65 for take home projects
Recommended Prior Learning
Year 9 or 10 Technology Fabric and Design. Students who are very keen and wish to join this course will be considered on an individual basis.
