In this course of study students can choose a selection of units of work from the different sectors of agriculture:
general agriculture, dairy, deer, cattle, sheep, apiculture, equine and farm dogs. These all lead to pathways into the primary industry sector.
The work is provided by Telford a leading tertiary provider in the primary industry sector and part of the Southern Institute of Technology.
Recommended Prior Learning
No prerequisites are required. Students must be self-motivated and well organised.
Assessment InformationAll assessments are Unit Standards as they are industry based units of work. Students will aim at achieving 14 credits or more.
Courses outlined will only be available if sufficient students wish to take them AND appropriate staff are available to teach them. Courses that do not run may be offered through distance learning and be supported by the Distance Learning Department.
