Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr D. Neufeld.
This course involves the study of a range of topics in Mathematics from Number and Measurement to Probability and Statistics. Overall, Statistics will be infused into all topics to improve statistical analysis skills for a range of situations. This course is recommended for students who would like to pursue further study in Social Science, especially History and Economics, as well as more community orientated careers like lawyer or care provider.
Students will be entered for 3 assessments

Course Overview
Term 1
Integration of Number and Measurement skills with the for AS1.2
Statistical analysis will also be introduced for some elements.
Term 2
Completion of AS1.2
More in-depth Statistical Analysis study working towards AS1.1 and 1.3
Additional support given for students still requiring Numeracy for the co-requisite digital exam.
Term 3
Completion of Statistical analysis project for 1.1
Preparation for External 1.3 Common Assessment Task
Support for those requiring Co-requisite Digital Exam sitting 2.
Term 4
Completion of preparation for 1.3 Common Assessment Task
Completion of Outstanding Further Assessment Opportunities
